The recital was well attended with forty-seven students playing (piano, guitar and trombone) to an audience of 170 parents, family and friends. Sarah Lade, an associate teacher, played a musical interlude as everyone arrived. The concert lasted 1 ½ hours and was followed by light refreshments in the Fireside room of the church.

Please come and be part of a Master Piano Class presented by pianist, Earl Mlotek. His discussion of the various piano techniques, past and present, will bring alive the music of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Twentieth\Twenty First Century eras, further illustrated by performance of periodic repertoire. Earl will share his ideas on how to prepare for Music Examinations or you’re first formal Performance.

Mr. Mlotek is currently on the piano faculty at the Royal Conservatory of Music. He has been a RCM Examiner and a Festival Adjudicator since 1984; and, has given Piano Master classes throughout Canada, the USA, France and Germany. In addition he has performed and hosted concerts throughout Ontario and Quebec. Earl Mlotek is an advocate for music written by Canadian Composers and is past Vice President of Contemporary Showcase. He has been a repertoire contributor and consultant for the Frederick Harris Music Company. Earl studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music and the Faculty of Music University of Toronto, under Boris Berlin, Walter Buczynsky and Pierre Souvairin.

Cyndy – New Piano Teacher .  Cyndy teaches all ages and has an extended knowledge of music theory.

Fall 2012
We are beginning to schedule lessons for the Fall 2012 term. Our prices will remain the same next term. The term will begin the week of September 11th to the 15th and continue for fourteen weeks ending December 15th. If you plan to continue lessons in the fall, please let us know by the last week of lessons in June and we will reserve your lesson time slot.

Our recital is on Sunday, June 10th at 1:30 pm at the Ryerson United Church in Ancaster.
