Flute Lessons

At Dan Corrigall Music Studio in Hamilton, we welcome beginners and those wishing to improve their performance.  

Our flute lessons will address all the aspects of learning to play and also how to improve one’s playing of the flute. Teachers will instruct on the proper posture and how to hold the flute correctly, with emphasis on creating a good embouchure, and basic fingering.

Flute lessons will also include reading and counting music.  Our teacher stress proper breathing techniques and instruction on how to open the throat to produce a stronger tone and articulation, double and triple tonguing.  We do not currently provide instruments at the Studio.  Each student should have his/her own flute.
